Meet Vino

Meet Vino! Can you guess how he got his trail name?! He works part time at a winery. Vino started his journey on the Appalachian Trail last year, hiking from Georgia to New Jersey before getting off trail.

He got back on in New Jersey this year and is hiking all the way to Katahdin! So, why did he decide to get on trail? Vino said it all started with COVID lockdowns and YouTube. He began watching vlogs of people who thru-hiked the AT and became addicted, totally consumed with the trail lifestyle.

One video quickly turned into two, and so on, and so forth. He said he talked about hiking so much that his wife finally said “quit talking about it, and do it!”

Vino shares that it was his wife’s support that ultimately got him on trail! Well, Vino, I’d bet your wife is so proud to see you out here chasing your dreams, and so are we! Go get ‘em!
